This is the chart of BRWM (BlackRock World Mining Trust), an investment trust:
Its price now seems near its decade’s low, something I doubt many would have anticipated. The nature of the decline seems very different from the 2008/9 crisis, however.
In the crisis, the decline from peak P1 to trough T1 was rapid. This time, however, from P2 to T2, it was one of constant attrition.
I am not saying T2 is necesarily the low, however. For all I know it could retreat to 100p, where it stood in the early 2000’s.
It’s never easy, is it?
